An original team workspace — PHP + MySQL production build.
How this build works: Matlis Workspace runs on a PHP + MySQL backend on your hosting. Channels, messages, reactions, files and notes are stored in the MySQL database and shared with everyone who logs in. Ask your workspace admin for your login.
Real-time: new messages arrive automatically every few seconds by polling — near-real-time, not instant push. There is no websocket server (shared hosting cannot run one). A green "Live" dot in the channel header shows polling is active; it pauses while the tab is hidden.
Admin panel: admins (see the Admin item in the sidebar) can manage users and channels, change workspace settings, and delete all demo data before inviting real users.
What is still mocked: the Huddle is a visual simulation — no microphone or camera is accessed, and nobody can actually hear you. Switching workspaces in the left rail is decorative.
The sample teammates and messages are seed data in the database.
